Writing a song can be hard, while others can come naturally. At Feedback, we\u2019ve interviewed many artists about writing songs, and even they don\u2019t have a nailed-down formula. We asked Evan Martin, producer at Private Regcords for his take.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou can definitely know when what you are writing is good,\u201d said Evan. \u201cThe first time I felt this was watching Eszter Vida<\/em><\/strong> at hype park book club. She was playing a small side room there.\u201d Evan got this feeling when she performed her song called Kingdom<\/em>. \u201cLyrically it was so elegant, alongside the way she sang it. Not just this the other elements of guitar combining with this, yeah just wow, it was really good.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He’s had it in the studio with bands too: \u201cI\u2019ve had bands come in and write great stuff, I\u2019ve also had them come in and together we\u2019ve made something special.\u201d He believes it came from one thing, not looking at things too logically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
