Bradley Kitcher, 24, from Cliffe Road, Hornsea, was sentenced to jail for four years and ten months at Hull Crown Court after pleading guilty to blackmail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the morning of Thursday 20th March 2025, Kitcher broke into the home of his victim, before waking him up by kneeling on him and punching him.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He then continued to assault the victim, before breaking items in his home, and tying him up, threatening to kill him and his family if he did not follow his instructions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kitcher then forced the victim to his home address, where he told him to enter the house first, as Kitcher said people were waiting to stab him.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the victim refused, an altercation took place, where they were able to flee into a nearby shop and call the police. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kitcher proceeded to break the victim’s phone, until he was made aware the police were coming, and fled the scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shortly afterwards, police attended a property on Cliffe Road in Hornsea where Kitcher was arrested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Detective Constable Dani Crawforth from the Major Crime Team said: \u201cThis was a targeted and aggressive attack by a violent man who clearly showed no remorse for his actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe will not tolerate violent actions such as this one. Our teams work tirelessly to remove dangerous offenders like Kitcher from our streets and protect our communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am pleased to see Kitcher has been held accountable for his actions, and whilst it will not take away the trauma and fear the victim and his family now lives with daily, I hope they are reassured to know he is behind bars.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
