Two arrests had been made after a 57-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman were suspected of possessing class A drugs with the intention to supply.
The Operational Support Unit’s Tactical Support Group (TSG) and armed crime team found approximately 1kg of Class A drugs after raiding a property in Rotherham this week.
The raid included a large quantity of heroin & what police suspect to be crack cocaine.
There were reports of drugs being housed and distributed on the property on Pinewood Close, Rotherham. Officers also found £1000 in cash and mobile phones, understood to be used for drug dealing.
The team was in contact with the community intelligence collated by Rotherham intelligence team on drugs at the time.
The pair have been released on police bail while the investigation and drugs testing continue.
The TSG officers are a team trained in methods of enters and search, and this week on Tuesday 24 October their efforts led to find large scale class A drugs.
