The house is claimed to be haunted by a poltergeist, with past living occupants apparently witnessing moving objects and radios randomly being turned on.
Commonly referred to as the poltergeist house, this museum is owned by the ghost enthusiasts Lee and Lindzi Steer.
The house renowned as South Yorkshire’s most haunted house consists of nine rooms filled with unsolved mysteries.
Within the house lies a staggering 72 dolls said to be possessed by some kind of unknown spirit which targets married men leaving them with unexplained scratches.
The doll given the name Elizabeth is marked by spots of blood that appear and disappear randomly.
The infamous ‘crying boy room’ is believed to be the very spot where a Victorian man met a gruesome end by burning fire.
One of the other rooms bears another dark history of abuse and neglect given to two young children.
Today sightseers claim to have experienced an eerie sensation of playful giggles roaming the air.
Spiritualists brought into the house to investigate are repeatedly haunted by the name ‘Emily’ that echoes in their minds.
In an incident during a night of filming, a lady in a flowing white dress was observed gliding mysteriously across the curtains.
Mr and Mrs Steer started ‘Ghost of Britain’ which is a Facebook page which shares haunted objects on their site.
Together they have amassed 2.2 million followers on the page, Mr Steer started ‘Ghost of Britain’ 12 years ago which became one of the first livestreams on Facebook.
The poltergeist house can be found on the busy main road in East Drive, Rawmarsh, Rotherham.
