An Ofsted survey found that 31% of parents at Manor Lodge Community Primary and Nursery School strongly disagree that their child feels safe there.
Of the 16 people who responded to the Ofsted Parent View survey which ran for a year from September 2022, only four agreed that their child felt safe at the school.
None of the respondents strongly agreed that their child felt safe at the education centre.
The survey also revealed that 69% of respondents strongly disagreed that the school ensures pupils are well behaved and 94% said they would not recommend the academy to another parent.
Half of the parents strongly disagreed that the school’s response to their child being bullied was quick and effective, with a further 31% disagreeing with the school’s response to bullying.
After becoming an academy in 2016, Ofsted’s inspection of Manor Lodge Community Primary and Nursery School in 2019 rated the school ‘good’.
Ofsted’s report also said that the safeguarding arrangements at the school are ‘effective’.
