A teenager has been stabbed in Sheffield and South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses, footage and information.

They have said that on Sunday (19 November) at 7:45 PM, officers attended Lytton Road in Parson Cross following reports a 16-year-old boy had been stabbed.

Enquiries by detectives have led them to believe that the victim was walking along the road when two men, unknown to the victim, approached him and stabbed him.

The offenders fled the scene before officers’ arrival and detectives are now keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident or any information that can help them identify those involved.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he still remains.

 His injuries however are not believed to be life-threatening.
