The man tragically killed in a collision on Saturday has been named.

David Milnes from Huddersfield was just 36 when he was hit by a car on Saturday, whilst on his motorcycle.

His family have just released a tribute to him, as police enquiries continue. 

Speaking to West Yorkshire Police, David’s family said in a statement:

”David was a much loved and loving member of a large family, who are devastated.  He will be enormously missed by all who knew him.” 

The appeal for witnesses and footage continues.

West Yorkshire Police released the statement at 4:30 this late afternoon:

Police are looking for anyone who may have seen the collision between David’s yellow Yamaha R6 and a silver Nissan Qashqai at approximately 6:48 PM on Saturday, November 11 at the junction of New Hey Road and Fortis Way. 

The incident took place after the Nissan Qashqai turned right onto Fortis Way and was in collision with a yellow Yamaha R6.  

Another man on the bike is suffering serious injuries and was taken to hospital. 

The driver of the car, which remained at the scene, was not injured and was interviewed by police. 

Anyone who saw or has footage of the collision or who saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to the crash is asked to contact MCET 101 referencing police log 1380 of November 11.
