A man has been rushed to hospital suffering from stab wounds. 

A South Yorkshire Police Communications Officer released this statement :

We received reports of a stabbing at 11:34 AM on Tuesday (17 October) at the bottom of The Moor in Sheffield city centre.

Officers and the ambulance service attended the scene, and a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds.

Hereford Street was temporarily closed while officers carried out their enquiries, with the road reopened a short time later.

No arrests have been made but enquiries are currently ongoing. Anyone with information which may assist is encouraged to call 101 quoting incident number 365 of 17 October.
