Footage of when a Park Ranger was left seriously injured by off-road bikers has been released by South Yorkshire police.
The incident happened on September 24th at 12:30 PM when the ranger, who remains unnamed, attempted to stop the riders and an argument broke out.
The group were riding around the Langsett reservoir in Barnsley and it is alleged that one proceeded to seriously assault the ranger, leaving him unconscious and with a broken jaw.
The police have released footage of who they believe to be the group and are appealing for any witnesses or those with information that can help identify the members.
The Off-Road Bike Team Sergeant, Shirley, said: “We are keen to identify the riders in the video and speak to them in connection to our enquiries.
“We’re also appealing to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed the assault.”
After the attack it is reported that the riders left the area, travelling towards Brook House Lane and onto the A61.
