In the hope to become one of the country’s leading fire services, draft objectives for the next three years have been unveiled by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
The service plans to eliminate inefficiencies, enhance performance, and foster an inclusive workplace culture as part of its strategy.
A proposed change would relocate a vehicle used for small incidents, like grass and bin fires, from Cudworth to Dearne fire station, based on a detailed review of incident data.
These proposals are detailed in the draft Community Risk Management Plan 2025-2028, which outlines measures to enhance public safety and address local risks.
The plan will be reviewed by the governing Fire and Rescue Authority, comprising 12 members from South Yorkshire’s four councils, on Monday, November 25.
If approved, the service will consult with the public and staff on the proposed changes.
Further details are available on the Fire Authority website.
