The 78-year-old man who sadly died after a car crashed into him, has been named today by his family as James Joseph Corrigan.
The family man suffered life-threatening injuries after a green Peugeot 308 collided with him on Bentley Road on Friday 18th October.
James’ family gave a tribute, saying: “James was a father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and beloved partner of Pat. In his younger years, James was a professional boxer, before becoming a well-known contractor in Doncaster.
“He was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.”
South Yorkshire Police officers are urging anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the fatal collision or who have dashcam footage to come forward with any information, no matter how small.
