When reality is a nightmare… At Scarlet Threads, we work to expose how dystopia, which refers to  ‘an imagined society in which there is great suffering or injustice’, is already a reality for women. We aim to shed light on the underlying structures of our world and inspire critical reflection. 

At Scarlet Threads, we want to go beyond the surface level understanding of inequality and female injustice, and give a voice to the real women suffering the consequences of oppression. 

Across the magazine, we will cover politically charged topics such as women’s rights, misogyny, healthcare, politics, and social issues, but from the female perspective through real lived experiences. We’re crumbling the paywall, to ensure our content is accessible to all, especially for a younger, less affluent audience. 

Exposing these real lived experiences and hearing from the real people affected is at the heart of our brand. We invite readers to navigate the nightmare, question the ordinary, and shape the future.
