A fundraiser has been launched to help a well-loved Sheffield Co-op worker and his dog stay in their home as they struggle with rising costs.

Filip, a familiar face at the Co-op on Ecclesall Road, has become a valued member of the local community thanks to his warmth, kindness and cheerful smile.

Jade Potter, behind the go-fund-me, said: “Filip is a joyful presence at our local Ecclesall Road Co-Op, and has helped many of us on days where we needed his smile and care.”

Now, the community is being encouraged to give something back by donating to help Filip cover his living costs and remain in his home during a difficult period.

The appeal comes as sales have been tough, leaving Filip and his dog in need of support.

A total of £435 has been raised so far, with a total goal of £500.

Organisers say any contribution, no matter how small, would be warmly welcomed and could make a difference to the pair.

They are urging those who know Filip, as well as anyone who wishes to help, to consider donating to the fundraiser.
