These hydration breaks happen after every 22 minutes and last for 3 minutes. I personally think this ruins the momentum of that match. Often you can see the players shaking their heads in disappointment as they know that these hydration breaks are just a way to run adverts. Often the players barely even hydrate and just have a team talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FIFA stated in December last year these stops were due to high temperatures but in the lats few games it has been raining and a hydration break probably wasn\u2019t needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FOX stated that the ads generated 250-350 million dollars for broadcasters from the ads alone. This really goes to show how these hydration breaks are just a way to generate hundreds of millions of dollars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
