The cast reveal is here. Cue the annual Love Island<\/a><\/em> tradition: the group WhatsApp dissecting who\u2019s attractive, the TikTok memes roasting poses, the tweets saying, \u201cthis looks like last year\u2019s cast copy-pasted.\u201d And honestly? Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, we\u2019ve got the usual suspects: the gym lad who calls himself a mummy\u2019s boy. The influencer-adjacent girl with lip gloss and a Law degree. The one who says they \u201cfall too fast\u201d and the one who claims to be \u201ctoo picky.\u201d It\u2019s like the same few archetypes get shuffled every year and dropped into the villa in slightly different swimwear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show isn\u2019t just a reality series anymore, it\u2019s a universe of instantly recognisable characters we already know how to read. The \u201cfiery one.\u201d The \u201csoft one.\u201d The \u201cloyal one who definitely won\u2019t be.\u201d We don\u2019t need intros at this point\u2026we already know the plot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of this is because Love Island<\/em> contestants don\u2019t enter the villa as blank slates anymore, they arrive with backstories, managers waiting in the wings, and a well-planned PR arc.
