Liam Jones of Morland Road, Sheffield pleaded guilty at Sheffield Crown Court to the manslaughter of Richard Wheeler yesterday.
Jones also pleaded guilty to two counts of grievous bodily harm, one count of possession of an offence weapon, one count of actual bodily harm and one of affray.
Emergency services were called to Orchard Lane around 11.10 pm on Saturday 15th July after reports there had been an altercation and a man had been assaulted near The Bessemer Pub
The victim 56-year-old, Richard Wheeler, from Sheffield was taken to hospital on 25th July but sadly died from his injuries.
Jones is currently remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on December 8th.
