Dale Houghton, 32, Rotherham, was sentenced to a 12-week imprisonment at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today (17 November) after he taunted rival fans with a dead child’s image.
Houghton mocked the death of the six-year-old Bradley Lowery, who died from neuroblastoma in 2017, during a match against Sunderland on September 29. He held up a photo of Bradley on his phone, smiling.

Houghton was given a 12-week sentence, 200 hours of unpaid work order and a five-year ban from football matches.
