Play Valley, a soft play centre in Sheffield, was subject to a break-in this weekend and as a result, has made the decision to go cashless.

On the centre’s Facebook page, it said: “Sadly, this is not the first break-in we have experienced. We are a family business and absolutely nothing is more important to us than the safety of our staff. It is for that reason that we have made the decision to withdraw the use of cash from the centre.”

“Thank you for your continued support.”

The centre also announced on its Facebook page that there will be no ‘minimum’ spend on card payments.
