Rotherham businesses have been recognised for their successes at the Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards.

The event took place at the Rotherham Magna Science Adventure Centre on the evening of 3 November.

The Business Awards are one of the region’s most popular business events, encouraging businesses in Rotherham and Barnsley to do more to boost the economy.

There were many guests at the scene; most of whom local entrepreneurs who were invited to attend the ceremony. 

Adam Bradley, 41, the representative from Corrsion Resistant Materials said: “Our company won the award last year, which was definitely a good thing to see at the time.”

The awards were presented by Amy Garcia, a well-known Yorkshire TV presenter, who congratulated entrepreneurs on their achievements.

In addition to the primary process of the award ceremony, the organizer also provided chocolate, hazelnut ganache tart and other dishes for guests to enjoy.

Musicians Catherine Rannus and Kyle Tomlinson were responsible for live music at the event.

Andrew Denniff, the Chief Executive of Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber said: “We had four hundred and seventy guests coming up tonight, and we have got a fantasic venue here.

”It just reflects the success of our local businesses, and we hope everybody enjoyed!”

Warwick Ward company won the 2023 business growth award, Rotherham mind, Rotherham rise and many other companies also attended and received various awards.

Shane Young, Operations Director at Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, made special mention of the new Sustainability Award: “ This recognises the businesses that are leading the way in creating a greener future.

“We encourage everyone to nominate deserving businesses and join us in celebrating their successes.”
