Rotherham City Council have officially updated its website, announcing that after a day and night of cleaning work, all the water in the Catcliff area has been cleaned up.
At the same time, Rotherham City Council reminded the public that the memorial hall in Catcliffe will be open for citizen disaster relief and consultation support throughout the day today, and any residents who need help can go and inquire.
The British Government announced that although the remaining water has largely been cleaned up, staff will not end the state of emergency – they will continue to visit residents in affected areas and provide assistance.
At the same time, the government has released a list of roads that remain closed and are still impassable due to flooding:
- Poplar Way, Catcliffe
- Main Street, Catcliffe
- Steadforld Lane, Thurcroft
- Hague Lane, Wentworth
