The International Beer Festival will be held at The Crofts Square in Rotherham town centre from 11 October .

Breweries from the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, and South Africa, will participate in the carnival.

Lasting 12 days, the ‘beer party’ will allow local residents to drink more pure malt beer than years before. Throughout the event, all beers, both local and overseas, will be sold at event prices.

Harry Flint, 41, who works at the Wetherspoon pub in Rotherham, said the pub would have a wider range of real ales than ever during the event.

“This is a wonderful arrangement.” Flint said: “We have cooperated with overseas breweries in Canada, the United States, and other countries to launch brands that have never been offered before for guests to taste. This is a relaxing thing .”

“During the event, people will also be able to order beer through our app.” Flint added.

It is reported that the participating beers include Hoptropolis IPA from the United States, Zulu Blonde from South Africa, and nine international brewery brands. Most of them are making their Rotherham debut.

Chris Beck, 41, one of the festival’s directors, said in the interview: “We want local residents to be able to enjoy more quality beers, not only produced locally but also from overseas.”

“Rotherham needs an injection of energy, and I think the Oktoberfest provides a fantastic opportunity.” Beck said.

“As a person who loved beers a lot, I feel that beers can always bring a lively and convivial atmosphere. This is often a quiet town, and I believe that a proper revelry can have a positive impact.”

It’s worth noting that vegan beers are also on the list of beers to be sampled at the exhibition, meaning vegans can also try their hand at the rave.

The event officially starts on Wednesday, and residents from across Rotherham and Sheffield are welcome to participate.
