Woodlands Primary and Tiny Seeds Nursery are the only school in Sheffield to have received the accreditation of following the Curiosity Approach Methodology.

The Curiosity Approach is a: ‘modern day approach that fits perfectly in current changing technological times. Bringing curiosity, awe and wonder into early childhood and creating the ‘thinkers & doers’ of the future.’

Woodlands Primary has painted the school in calming colours, and is filled with objects made from either wood or natural materials.

The school does not provide any bright plastic toys, in the hope of igniting the child’s imagination to figure out what each toy is.

The aim is to build an environment where children are asking questions, experimenting, and problem solving, to ensure that play is not just a past time, but instead a way of learning.

The Curiosity Approach is helping prepare children for a future of lifelong learning, where they are using their critical thinking and creativity that they have developed on their own terms.

Woodlands Primary are holding an event at the school on 29 November at 16.00pm to celebrate their recent accreditation.

This event will offer an opportunity to talk to the team and look round the space.
