A Sheffield grandma has decorated her drive into a spooky Halloween scene in a bid to raise money for Sheffield children’s hospital.

The hospital holds a special sentiment for Jane Spowage and her family following the support they provided for her granddaughter Willow.

Willow, who is nearly 6, was born prematurely at 24 weeks old at the Jessop Wing- which is run by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Here she stayed for six months before spending a further six months at the Neonatal Surgical Unit at Sheffield children’s hospital where she underwent operations on her bowels.

Willow has consistently received care from the hospital as she is still peg fed and has cerebral palsy.

Mrs Spowage, 42, said: ‘‘ Last year I only put graveyard decorations up but I got over 300 people trick or treating.

‘’So that inspired me this year to put more decor up and collect for the children’s hospital as they did, and still do so much for my granddaughter.’’

You can see the display at S12 Frenchville, Thornbridge Drive between 10am-9pm up until the 31 October 2023.

If you wish to donate, there is a collection bucket near the front door.
