A series of arsons in the Darnall area which caused a threat to life, have prompted an appeal for information from South Yorkshire Police.
Between 14 September and 30 October the police have been made aware of eight reported incidents of arson and attempted arson.
These incidents include endangering a life.
In an online statement, Inspector Katie Rowland-Wilson, who is part of South East Sheffield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We believe that these arson incidents may be linked and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“Do you live in the Darnall area and have any CCTV footage that could help with our investigation? We would please urge you to get in touch.
“We know these incidents can be scary to residents in the area, please be reassured we are doing everything we can to bring justice.”
Members of the public are urged to pass any information to the police via their new online chat, online portal or by calling 101 and quoting the incident number 265 of 28 October.
