Hailing from Leeds, the life-long fan of the club. He found his true home in The Equaliser.
Conslidating extensive, very niche and slightly weird knowledge of obscure football and music.
Alfie is our head of audio and resident model.
Dunn reached infamy for his notoriously bad top ten list featured in the World Cup of Anthems podcast episode, which you can listen to here.
Ryan Batty
Head of Writing
“I’ve been inspired. Not in a ‘taking action’ way, just in the Nelson Mandela, ceremonial sense.”
From South Cheshire and with a love for The Smiths, Football Manager and red wine, Ryan Batty is our Head of Writing here at The Equaliser.
Ryan is a co-host of Tracks and Terraces by The Equaliser, and rates himself highly for berating fellow co-host Alfie Dunn.
A wind-up merchant by trade and an anorak for professional wrestling, Ryan can often be found drinking Yorkshire Tea and trying to lift the mood at Equaliser HQ.
Joseph Gainsford

Joe is 89kg of pure West Berkshire beef, obsessed with football and is the Social Media manager for The Equaliser.

Jacob Tilley
Head of Website
“Have you listened to English Teacher? No? Change that.”
Jacob’s biggest life achievement has to be getting to the ripe age of 21 while living in Skelmersdale for a large chunk of his life – a town ranked in the top 20% for depravity in Britain.
A fan of craft beer, cider and an occassional spiced rum, Jacob is a music guru, obsessed with tunes from bands and artists new and old.
Sport-wise, Jacob shares a love for professional wrestling with fellow Equaliser-er Ryan, as well as enjoyments for football, Formula One and running.
