Our website is the middle of the Venn diagram – music and sport lovers. We’ll aim to bring our readers dissections of the crucial link of music and sport, as both are so intrinsically linked with each other.

The connection between sport and music is everywhere. England Cricket’s brass band, The Barmy Army; individual sports persons having their own walkout songs synonymous with them; hordes of raucous football fans spinning pop songs into terrace chants – it’s simply inescapable.

We’re the magazine for Adidas Gazelle wearers and for vintage shirt collectors, who enjoy listening to good music and reading about good music. Music brings us all together, whether that’s at live concerts, festivals or anywhere in-between, and we’re here to bring the stories of bands and artists to life – bringing a personality to Spotify statistics and asking why they play the music that their fans love and how sport has inspired them over the years.

We’re the magazine for bands and artists to discuss how sport has brought them together, and how sport has influenced them to get where they are today. We’re also the magazine for various names in the sports industry to reveal how music has helped them get to where they are today – giving insights into surprising anecdotes that bring the two industries together. Whether that’s fan-favourite darts player Stephen Bunting belting out Sia’s Titanium on stage at the World Championships or former Lightweight World Champion Josh Warrington jumping on stage at Leeds O2 Academy on lead guitar – we’ll get to the route of it all.

We’ll be curating content that brings the two together, through profile interviews, lists, and reviews, and through podcasting form that brings you human stories, the tales behind musicians and sportspeople and why they need each other. We’ll give you the low-down on the bands you need to add to your playlist. We’ll ask people from the world of sport how music helps them to perform, what music inspires them and why music from the terraces gives sportspeople the inspiration they need to perform. With us, you’ll be up to date with all the need-to-know bits and pieces from around the music and sporting worlds, as well as that sweet spot in the middle.

We are The Equaliser.
