Sean Dyche has had quite the few weeks since he changed out of his classic suit and adorned the more casual tracksuit. From steering Everton to Premier League survival with a string of fantastic results, to now randomly popping up in a music video – he’s living his best life.
Stockport legends, Blossoms, are gearing up to release their fifth studio album, which is yet to be named, and recently shared the first tune from the offering. What Can I Say After I’m Sorry carries an air of soul, heavily driven by the funky bassline and synth layers that collaborate to form a perfect blend.
The tune also carries a heavy influence from synth-dance outfit, Jungle, who Blossoms sourced help from in order to record the track.
But where does Sean Dyche come into this? Renowned for his musical taste after being spotted at numerous gigs on social media, Dyche is a fan of the band. So, when the call came in to work with them, he couldn’t refuse.
The video opens with Sean Dyche giving a stern speech to the band, claiming that they are the ‘specialist team required for the job’ at hand which seemingly involves rescuing another member of the team. The video progresses with many problems befalling the quintet and Dyche not being happy with how the mission is progressing.
Nevertheless, the piece ends with a screen stating ‘To be continued’, which suggests that Dyche may yet return and continue his new-found career as a music video actor.
