Many sports stars enjoy a night out after a big win, just ask Jack Grealish. However, some have success at a very young age. Hence, some of them can’t even indulge in a drink yet because they haven’t turned 18 or 21. We take a look at the biggest sports stars that can’t buy a drink from around the world.
Lamine Yamal, FC Barcelona, Football, Spain, age 16
Yamal has taken the footballing world by storm this season, coming through from the world famous Barcelona academy, La Masia. Yamal’s rise to the Barcelona first team has been unquestionably astonishing, football fans across the world have compared the young winger to Kylian Mbappe and current Barcelona manager Xavi called him “practically a chosen one”, that is some praise from a club legend.
Luke Littler, Darts, England, age 17
The young darts sensation is currently completely changing the complexion on how darts is perceived by the public. Littler’s run to the world championship final back in February was one of the best sporting debuts of all time, in any sport let alone darts. He has continued his fine form by winning the Bahrain Masters, The Belgian Open, The Austrian Open and topped the Premier League heading into the final day in London.
Victor Wembenyema, San Antonio Spurs, Basketball, France age 19
By and large, the number one draft pick from last year’s NBA draft has lived up to the hype. The French sensation has taken the league by storm by having multiple stand out performances and some would say he has single handedly carried the team, The Spurs ended second bottom of the western conference table, imagine the team without Wembenyema.
Endrick, Palamaries/Real Madrid, Brazil, age 17
The Brazilian wonder kid has recently lit up the world of football this season with his talent earning him a big move to Real Madrid for next season, following fellow brazilians Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo to make the move at a young age.
Subsequently, Brazil legend Cafu said that Endrick was “a future phenomenon” and that he is “one of the last great jewels we have seen in 15 years”.
Sky Brown, Skateboarder/surfer, England, age 15
Brown took the 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo by storm winning the bronze medal in the park event at just the age of 13, making history as she became Britain’s youngest medal winner. Brown plans to compete at the Paris games this year in Skateboarding and hopes to be part of the surfing team. All eyes on Paris for one of Britain’s top medal hopes.
Coco Gauff, Tennis, United States, age 20
The American star originally shot to fame in 2019 as she progressed to the last 16 at Wimbledon at just 15 years old. Gauff has already achieved things that many tennis players will never achieve, win a major. Gauff also won the US Open last year beating world number one at the time Aryna Sabalenka. People have already started to compare her to Serena Williams who is regarded as the greatest of all time.
Rual Rosas Junior, UFC, United States, age 19
Rosas Junior became the youngest UFC fighter in the organisation’s history at age 17 after an impressive amateur record. The American-Mexican fighter has won all three of his UFC fights with 2 coming by stoppage including his debut which came in the first round. The future looks bright for the El Nino Problema.
Andrea Kimi Antoneli, Racing Driver, Italy, age 17
Kimi Antoneli has already received many plaudits from around the motor racing community as he continues to do well in Formula 2. The Mercedes academy driver has done some testing for the 7 time constructor champions and is predicted to receive a race seat for next season with many predicting he may take the seat left by Lewis Hamilton. That is some jump in the space of a year.
