Sheffield born keeper, Ellie Roebuck’s time at Barcelona is reportedly drawing to an end after only featuring twice this season.
Roebuck, 25, who rose through the Sheffield United Academy, joined the Blaugrana in 2024 from Manchester City. However, her spell at the club hasn’t panned out how she would have liked, despite being a part of the club’s Liga F title win.
Spanish source, La Transmissió de la Gelmà are reporting that Roebuck and Barcelona are in mutual agreement over an exit, with both Cata Coll and Gemma Font ahead of her in the pecking order.

Roebuck left Manchester City at the end of the 2023/24 season, signing a pre contract agreement with Barcelona, however just two weeks later suffered a stroke which nearly ended her career.
During her time at City, she made over 130 appearances, winning the WSL in 2016, as well as three FA Cup titles and three League Cup titles.
Barcelona have helped Roebuck through her rehabilitation process, and she made the first of her two League appearances in a 4-1 victory over Real Betis in December, which was her first professional game in nineteen months.
With Mary Earps announcing her retirement from international football earlier this week, Roebuck will be looking to reassert herself in the England squad as backup to Hannah Hampton, and regular football will be seen as a key step to getting herself back in the squad.
With neither of Hampton’s current backups having any international experience, the door seems open for Roebuck, who has 11 caps for the senior side and was part of the 2022 Euro winning squad.
It remains to be seen which club Roebuck will join, however a return to the WSL seems likely.
