Whilst I have worked on other shows as a runner, this was my first time working on a sports broadcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-47ec59baa23b2f8cfc0e9b97fa22370a\">My roles on the production ranged entirely from getting the stats sheets ready ahead of each session for the commentators, to refilling the urn to make sure crew members could have a hot drink during breaks in play. (Credit- Seb Jones) <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-22c857005dbbafa40d685575c17618ab\">As someone currently in my final year of a journalism degree at university, it&#8217;s a great opportunity to experience working in live television, something which is not often possible until after graduating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a716f1a8db2d3b5f62967f49ce7c1d77\">Working as a freelance TV <a href=\"https:\/\/jusmedia.co.uk\/studioinsider\/2025\/05\/23\/how-to-climb-the-career-ladder-from-runner-to-production-manager\/\">Runner<\/a>, has seen me do all sorts of weird and wonderful jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9ddcc8c7f801200cd6c862e827fd12da\">Anything from buying shopping for the Gladiators, to sourcing props used on Loose Women and getting coffee for Hazel Irvine.
