Sheffield Wednesday hosts Swansea City in the championship this evening, with both sides looking to push away from the drop zone.
Danny Röhl’s side has struggled this season and currently sits 18th with only three wins out of twelve games, but they have maintained fantastic underlying numbers.
Röhl said: “I think this is a great sign against (someone) who is a well-organised team.
“On Tuesday, we have to be ready and take opportunities.”
He referenced their past defeat at home to Burnley while talking to the Sheffield Wednesday press.
Swansea have faced similar issues this season. With their possession-based wing play, they have been unable to unlock many defences.
Swansea are without a win in four, having last won against Coventry during the back end of September in a close 2-1 win.
Luke Williams, Swansea’s manager, said: “We have to be more ruthless in front of goal, as half chances are sometimes better chances than they look.”
Both teams are yet to have a player score more than 2 goals this season. Wednesday looking for more from Canadian international and 3 million-pound man Ike Ugbo.
Swansea, however, benefit from Championship specialists Ben Cabango and Harry Darling. Both of whom are contributing to the fourth-best defence in the league.
Fans of Swansea will also hope to see the continued form of Josh Key from the right-back position. Said’s creativity has been creating several chances for a misfiring attack.
