Fireworks and bonfires are especially popular around Guy Fawkes Night, but it’s essential to prioritise safety.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue will be responding to numerous incidents involving bonfires that have gotten out of control or fireworks

In more severe cases, these accidents have led to serious injuries.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “Our main advice around these times of year, especially Bonfire Night, is to attend organised displays. These are safer and far more spectacular.”
