The Star is getting involved with the new #LoveYour campaign, aiming to celebrate the incredible people, unique places, and charming quirks that make Sheffield such a remarkable city.
Through #LoveYour, The Star invites everyone to share stories, memories, and experiences that highlight what truly makes Sheffield a vibrant and exceptional place to live, work, and explore.
The campaign serves as a love letter to the Steel City, launched to coincide with the annual ‘Journalism Matters’ week and in the lead-up to the festive season.
The Star is eager to celebrate Sheffield and wants to hear from locals about what truly makes the city exceptional.
As part of the new campaign, their reporters will be out each week showcasing Sheffield’s best bit, but what they really want is to hear from locals about what makes the Steel City so special.
The Star said: “Tell us about your favourite cafe, pub, dog walking route, Parkrun community, local park and we’ll shine a spotlight on it.”
Editor of The Star, Claire Lewis, said: “We’re running this campaign so that day by day we’ll be writing a love letter to Sheffield made up not just of our reporters’ experiences but yours as well.
“We all know that Sheffield’s a great place to live, but perhaps we don’t all shout about it as much as we should – perhaps we take things on our doorstep for granted.
“This is our chance to celebrate our city and everything that’s great about it.”
The #LoveYour campaign will focus on promoting positivity and community spirit and will run over the next couple of months.
