Halloween is here and there are many activities planned for everyone, from ghoulish family fun to spine-tingling adventures, here’s 13 Spook-tacular activities to see this year!
1. Witches & Wizards
The Tropical Butterfly House is hosting ‘Witches & Wizards’ where families and children can explore an eerie witch’s cabin, take a spooky tractor ride, and even learn broomstick training.
The event is currently ongoing until Sunday, November 3, from 10am to 5pm.

2. Nightmare on the Farm: Graves Park Animal Farm
Graves Park Animal Farm is hosting their famous pumpkin picking and ‘Nightmare on the Farm’ woodland walk until October 31.
There is no need to book in advance as tickets can be bought on the gate with tickets going for £7 per child.
This includes entry to the farm, woodland walk area and one pumpkin, and £1 per accompanying adult but price excludes the pumpkin.
3. Whirlow’s Indoor Pumpkin Patch
Whirlow Hall Farm’s popular indoor Pumpkin Patch has been ongoing every weekend until October 31. The Patch is open from 11am to 3pm each day and tickets are available at £2 while under 12s enter for free.
Halloween-themed activities are available for all ages to enjoy and there will be refreshments from the Coffee Coop Trailer.

4. Happy Halloween
The free event is back again until October 31, from 11am to 2pm, at the Moor Market and Crystal Peaks.
Kids can enjoy a range of free activities, including crafting, colouring, and glitter tattoos with mascots present.
5. Family Cinema: Coco
RivelinCo invites families to join them for a screening of Disney and Pixar’s Coco.
It is a delightful tale of a young musician who embarks on a musical journey through the Land of the Dead.
The screening happens on November 1 from 1pm to 3.30pm.
6. Little Monster Mash Party
The Punch Bowl is hosting the kids party on Saturday, November 2 from 12pm to 3pm. For £5 per child.
The event offers a range of Halloween activities, including a children’s entertainer, spooky disco and games, a fancy dress competition, crafts, and biscuit decorating.

7. Greystones Gigs: Mambo Jambo Halloween
Families are welcomed to a sing-along with Mambo Jambo, an acoustic duo.
The concert is suitable for children aged up to 7 and their families and it features a lively mix of music, dancing, and interactive activities.
8. Pumpkin Picking at Cannon Hall Farm
Cannon Hall Farm, the UK’s top pumpkin patch is hosting their event until October 31. Families can pick from nearly 10,000 pumpkins and enjoy a new immersive experience: the VR Spooky Halloween Pumpkin Ride. With expert pumpkin carvers and a costume shop on site, Cannon Hall Farm offers a complete Halloween extravaganza for visitors of all ages.
9. Theo’s Enchanted Evenings
Weston Park is hosting Theo’s Enchanted Evenings and families with young children can expect to meet characters like Jack Lantern, and to enjoy the Halloween magic with crafts, food vendors, and live entertainment.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
10. Strange Sheffield Ghost Walks Haunted Halloween
Strange Britain is hosting their spine-chilling Halloween Ghost Walk through the Sheffield City Centre.
Daredevils are to embark on an eerie journey to learn about the city’s haunted history, encounter restless spirits, unsolved mysteries, and chilling stories.
The specials include the story of a real life exorcism and the unlikely cryptid creature who used to frequent the fringes of the city.
Specials run on Thursday, October 31, with one family-friendly session at 5pm, and another session at 7.30pm, and a final session on Friday, November 1 at 8pm. Due to popular demand, there is an additional date on Saturday, November 2 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available here.
11. Under 18s Ghost Hunt at the National Emergency Services Museum
National Emergency Services Museum (NESM) is hosting a special ghost hunt for young thrill-seekers between the ages of 10 to 17 on Friday, November 1.
The experience is led by the team at Seeking Spirit Ghost Hunt and it will take place from 5pm to 9pm.
Participants will need to bring a torch and they will use specialised equipment to explore the museum’s eerie corridors and uncover some ghostly secrets.

12. The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Cemetery Cinema presents a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Thursday, October 31 at the Samuel Worth Chapel.
The cult classic will screen at 8.30pm, and doors open half an hour earlier.
There will also be a costume contest for the three best-dressed guests, a true Rocky Horror tradition.
13. Screamworks Cinema Presents: The Shining
The Steamworks is screening Stanley Kubrick’s horror classic The Shining on the big screen where participants will be able to enjoy street food and themed cocktails before settling in for the film.
