Bakers Yard Bakery has just celebrated six months of their business.
What began as a humble side gig has blossomed into a thriving speciality coffee house and micro-bakery, offering a delectable array of sweet and savoury treats.
Sam Lindsay and Becca Crofts, co-owners of the place, said: “We have been overwhelmed with the community support shown to us since opening the bakery and the genuine love for our food, coffee, and ethos.
“We are continually inspired by the kind comments and enthusiasm we receive from our visitors.”
The owners have poured their passion into creating a space where customers can savour the flavours of their artisanal bakes.
From their signature rum canelés to their white chocolate, pistachio, and lemon cookies, each treat is a testament to their dedication to quality and taste.
Beyond their delicious creations, the bakery has also become a hub for the local community.
The cosy atmosphere and friendly staff have attracted a loyal following of customers who appreciate their commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.
As they celebrate their six-month anniversary, Bakers Yard Bakery is looking back on their growth and achievements so far. From expanding their team to launching exciting new events, they have continued to evolve and innovate.
The bakery’s recognition by The Good Food Guide is a testament to their exceptional quality and dedication to their craft.
With their focus on seasonal and local ingredients, they committed to providing a unique and memorable dining experience for everyone.
Lindsay and Croft said: “As we move into the next six months, we have exciting plans for some additional evening supper clubs, special events, and the launch of our website. We will continue to be a seasonal, small batch and scratch-made bakery, and we can’t wait for more new faces to visit and discover what Bakers Yard Bakery is all about!”
As Bakers Yard looks ahead to the future, they are filled with excitement for what lies ahead.
With a growing reputation and a passion for baking that continues to fuel their journey, they are poised to become a beloved institution in Sheffield’s culinary scene.
The bakery is situated within Little Kelham, which is a ‘low carbon neighbourhood’ of 144 timber frame homes and eight businesses. It is powered by renewable energy and most on-street parking is banned, with the threat of a £100 demand, to encourage walking and cycling.
