Jake Brown, 25, has been found guilty of shooting a teenager to death following a five-week murder trial.
On Tuesday 12 December 2023, Kevin Pokuta was fatally shot on Page Hall Road in Sheffield. The 19 year old was taken to hospital by emergency services but died the next day due to critical injuries.
A jury at Sheffield Crown Court found Brown guilty of five offences including murder, attempted GBH, conspiracy to rob, and two firearm offences. He was found not guilty of attempted murder.
He stood trial alongside Leon Waite, 26, Lester Ramsey, 25, Adam Mulligan, 33, and a 17-year-old boy, who were all convicted of conspiracy to rob.
Waite and Ramsey were acquitted of murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
All apart from the 17-year-old have been remanded into custody. They will all appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 16 December for sentencing.
