Newcastle United have released their home shirt for the 2025\/26 season, made by Adidas – with a new take on their traditional stripes.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a return to the light blue detailing that we’ve seen on shirts over a number of decades – most recently in 2022-23, but it’s the first time it has been seen anywhere other than on a sponsor\/manufacturer logo since 2008\/09.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the shirt being mostly black this season, it’s now predominantly black, and has more stripes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between the stripes is a pattern called ‘Shepherd’s Check’, making it different to the usual straight edge. This is inspired by a pattern synonymous with the border between England and Scotland, including the area that the club resides in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s very likely that this will be the final home shirt they have with their current badge, as the club announced recently<\/a> that they plan to update it for the 2026\/27 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This may, therefore, be why they’ve made the blue such a big part of the shirt, as this is seen prominently on the current badge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They will debut it on the pitch<\/em> this Sunday, with a game against Everton in the Premier League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be available for purchase from the 29th of May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excitingly, the club also announced the first-ever dedicated launch of a range for the women’s team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter Silverstone, Chief Commercial Officer at Newcastle United, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building on our home kit foundation donation initiative of last year, this year, for every adult home, away and third shirt sold through official club channels before the end of August we\u2019ll be donating \u00a35 to the Newcastle United Foundation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
