{"id":5537,"date":"2026-10-14T16:07:13","date_gmt":"2026-10-14T15:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jusmedia.co.uk\/360wire\/?p=5537"},"modified":"2026-10-14T16:21:04","modified_gmt":"2026-10-14T15:21:04","slug":"rail-incident-causes-heavy-distruption-between-sheffield-and-london-st-pancras","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jusmedia.co.uk\/360wire\/2026\/10\/14\/rail-incident-causes-heavy-distruption-between-sheffield-and-london-st-pancras\/","title":{"rendered":"Fatal rail incident causes heavy disruption between Sheffield and London St Pancras"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A fatal rail accident has caused significant delays on the line between Sheffield and London St Pancras, with this expected to last until the end of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An announcement from East Midlands Railway Says: &#8220;We are sad to report that a person has been hit by a train earlier today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;This occurred between London St Pancras and Luton and is disrupting our trains on the London St Pancras\/ Nottingham\/ Sheffield and London St Pancras\/ Luton Airport Parkway\/ Corby routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Emergency services have managed the incident and the line has now reopened.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The incident took place near Hampstead, with emergency services being called to West Hampstead Thameslink railway station at 12.09pm today.
