With Christmas around the corner, Hull\u2019s city council are appealing for people to donate any unwanted Christmas jumpers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is an annual tradition put on by Hull\u2019s City Council, as they look to spread some festive cheer around the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Christmas can be a tough time for families financially, these donations are to allow young children to still take part in the festive celebrations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All jumpers donated will be sorted and distributed for Save The Children\u2019s Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 11 December, when people up and down the country get together and donate \u00a32 to \u2018make the world better with a sweater\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The donation drop off points are The Wilson Centre, The Orchard Centre and any Beercocks estate agents in Hull and the East Riding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deadline for donations is 3 December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Councillor Charles Quinn, cabinet portfolio holder for environment said: \u201cOver the past few years, we\u2019ve collected hundreds of Christmas jumpers and delivered them to local schools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe understand that Christmas can be a challenging time for families, financially, and we hope this drive helps ease that burden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
