An estimated 10.6% of people in England and Wales were victims of domestic abuse, sexual assault, or stalking in the year ending March 2025 according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

ONS data shows 72.5% of victims of domestic abuse related crimes are women.

The number of cases reported across Yorkshire reflects this national increase.
