North Yorkshire Police have confirmed that the body of a 37-year-old man who had been reported missing from the Scarborough area has been found.

Formal identification has not yet been completed, but his family have been informed.

The police force extend their thanks to everyone who shared their appeal earlier this week and got in touch with any information to assist with the search.

However, they now ask that if you shared his photo or details as part of the appeal, please now remove them from anywhere you shared it.

North Yorkshire Police say that their thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
