Firefighters have been battling a serious fire involving several tonnes of wrapped hay bales in Cudworth since the early hours of Friday morning.
The blaze broke out in the early hours of 6 November, with five fire engines deployed to the blaze at the height of the incident.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that firefighters remain at the scene and is urging members of the public to avoid the area while emergency operations continue.
The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
Commenting on the fire, resident Caroline Drury said that “a farmer has lost their winter feed of hay for their animals over the winter. Hay stocks are already low from the summer we have had, and many farmers only got one cut [of hay] done. I hope they find whoever did this.”
