Murdered schoolboy Harvey Willgoose’s mother Caroline Willgoose has raised concerns about anonymous messages she has received that she believes have come directly from her son’s murderer.
Harvey Willgoose, 15, was murdered on 3 February 2025 by fellow pupil Mohammed Umar Khan, 16. Although Khan was sentenced to a minimum of 16 years, it is believed he has been able to access social media from prison.
She told The Sun: “I worry he has trolled me. I get trolls all the time saying I need to move on and this is yesterday’s news.
“It’s scary he’s got access and is probably watching what I’m doing.”
Since her son’s death, Ms Willgoose has been campaigning against knife crime through her charity Harvey’s Hub. She says she has recieved messages saying “3Umar,” meaning “Free Umar,” and “wouldn’t be surpised” Khan was behind the messages.

It has also been reported that Khan has been causing other online trouble via social media from youth detention.
The Ministry of Justice is understood to be investigating the situtation.
