19 October 2026

Sheffield cinema The Light is hosting a special screening of the 60-minute documentary Amber and Me tonight at 7 pm, followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker and a panel discussion on school inclusion.

The film follows twin sisters Amber, who has Down syndrome, and Olivia, and their fight to stay together in primary school. It is directed by their father, Ian Davies.

After the screening, a 45-minute Q and A panel will explore the inclusion crisis in schools, allowing parents and educators to ask questions and discuss the difficulties and importance of inclusion in education.

The screening comes during Learning Disabilities Awareness Month, which aims to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding learning disabilities.
