Doncaster remains on high alert this morning after Storm Claudia hit the UK with hours of heavy rain, causing significant water flooding and forcing the closure of key local roads.

Flood Alerts are still in place for the Middle River Don, Lower River Don, River Went and River Dearne catchments.

Authorities have closed Pastures Road and Pastures Lane (Mexborough), Town End in Bentley and Greys Bridge (Denaby), following surface water flooding.

Doncaster Council will continue to monitor water levels and advise the community to not attempt driving through any flood water.
