The CEO of a leading global talent agency representing adults and children with disabilities has backed our campaign, Paws for a Cause.
Laura Winson, named one of Grazia’s Most Influential Women in Fashion, has featured in several widely recognised publications such as Vogue and The Guardian.
Ms Winson, who champions for advocacy, equality and increasing access to opportunity, said: “Support Dogs provides life-changing assistance for vulnerable adults and children who deserve safety, confidence and independence. That’s why campaigns like Paws For A Cause matter so deeply.
“Reducing the waiting list isn’t optional, it’s urgent, and everyone who needs it deserves timely access to the support dog that could transform their daily lives.”
With offices in London, Europe, NYC, LA and Brisbane, ZBD has fought to improve the representation of disabled people and is recognised as a driving force for positive change in the industry.
Also a certified social worker, Ms Winson’s personal and professional values are centred around engaging in meaningful causes and promoting social justice.
She added: “It’s incredible that a charity can provide something that affects so many areas of life; it benefits not only the individual but their families, and that impact is immeasurable.
“The waiting lists are massive; you wouldn’t delay someone’s essential medication for years if they needed it, so why delay support dogs when they’re such a crucial aid? If something enables you to participate in society, it is unarguably essential.”

Demand for Support Dogs’ services has exceeded available resources, leaving children with autism and adults with epilepsy or physical disabilities without the vital support they need.
An increase in funding, volunteers, and public engagement is necessary to prompt change and mitigate the issue.
Ms Winson said: “This campaign is an excellent one and gives people the opportunity to live more independently. I know everyone’s budgets are tight, but this is a vital cause.
“Support Dogs isn’t a dog charity; it’s a people’s charity. It’s about the impact these dogs have on people’s lives. If you can help in any way, I hope that you will.”
The 360Wire‑backed campaign aims to raise £1,000 for 10 autistic children to meet a support dog, secure 15 sponsors for autism assistance dog Peggy, and have 10 people register interest as puppy socialisers.
