An 18-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection to the man found dead on a driveway in St Wilfrids Crescent, Harehills, Leeds yesterday.

The 19-year-old man, who has yet to be officially identified, was reportedly thrown out of a vehicle onto a driveway, where he sustained major injuries, and was shortly pronounced dead.

Emergency services were called at 12pm on Wednesday 8th October, but enquiries suggest the victim was injured before this, getting into an altercation at Parkside View in Seacroft, before being driven to the Harehills area.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Holdsworth, who is leading the investigation, said: “This is a very serious incident in which a young man has lost his life.

“We are carrying out extensive enquiries including house to house, CCTV and forensics.

“While the motive is unclear, we believe this was a targeted attack.”

The vehicle believed to have been used in the incident, a dark coloured Ford Focus, was found in Amberton Crescent in Gipton and has been recovered for further investigation.

Anyone with information concerning the incident is urged to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101 or by using the Live chat option, and quoting log 650 of the 8th October.
