The sky was lit up over Don Valley Bowl last night as thousands looked on for a dazzling Autumn Lights display.
Doors opened at 3:00pm yesterday, 5 November, and people from across Sheffield and beyond headed into the event for what was promised to be a brilliant night of live music entertainment and fireworks.
The event was brought to Don Valley Bowl by Autumn Lights, a touring event, bringing their headliners Dick and Dom, as well as tribute act Young Elton, to the main stage.
Casey Peyton from 360Wire has more.
The night had something for all ages. With vendors selling light up accessories and an earlier children’s firework show at 7:40pm, to a bar serving drinks and up-beat bassline songs from the DJ.
Across the event there were many fairground rides, street food vendors, and light performers wandering amongst the crowd.

Dick and Dom got the crowd dancing and singing, bringing the energy up before the all-important firework finale.
A group of enthusiastic crowd members, Jodie, Anya, and Emma, told 360Wire: “Dick and Dom have been the best part of the night so far. Everyone’s loving it.”
The three students added: “We had no idea they’d be so good to be honest. Now we’re just waiting for the big fireworks to end the night.”
The sky erupted just after 9:20pm, and with a selection of popular songs in the background, many of the crowd sang along and took in the special moment with their friends and family.
The evening was a huge success and a real winter highlight for Sheffield this year.
