South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information about five men in their 20s, who allegedly assaulted a man on West Street, Sheffield.

On 12 October at 3am, it was reported a man and woman were approached by five men, the group then assaulted the man and punched him in the face several times before fleeing the scene.

The injured man is now in hospital, being treated for serious injuries to his face, leading to the police launching an investigation.
