Almost £3 million in private funding will be invested into Hull to develop brownfield sites and help create jobs in the city.
Four Hull businesses will invest a combined £2.85m, these include; Rainbow Professional Limited, Robert Sanderson and Sons, Venture Business Space and Adventure Resources Limited.
Cllr Jackie Dad, deputy leader of the council and responsible for citywide regeneration delivery, said: “The Brownfield Land Grant scheme will support significant private sector investment and job creation in Hull, exactly what it is supposed to do.
“It is doubly pleasing that the grant scheme has been able to support four Hull businesses and their projects to help to regenerate our city’s economy.”
This is made possible through an additional £881,000 from the Brownfield Land Grant scheme, which is part of a £1.95m funding pot allocated to Hull City Council by the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority.
The director of Adventure Resource Limited, Dave, said: “There’s quite a few things we would like to do and now can do because of the assistance, which are all aimed at reducing our carbon footprint.”
The projects aim to deliver against the council’s corporate plan for 2024-28, by speeding up the delivery of sites across the city.
